I cannot give this five stars as I am not a qualified electronics tester and have only had it for a short time, so the lifespan is unknown. This 20 amp model is rated for lower currents and does not require a rail. An accuracy of 1% is specified. I have used mine on a small solar system and it has helped me understand what goes on with solar panels in detail as well as ongoing management. One device cannot measure everything. You may receive more than one. I started measuring my actual loads on my devices and then switched them between solar panel and charger. You can also place it between the charger and the battery. The best charger does it all by itself.
