Review on Beckon Ware 13/11 inch Silicone Splatter Screen for Cooking - Non-Stick, Food Safe & Heat Resistant Grease Splatter Guard, Cooling Mat, Grease Strainer - Black by Rachel Murray

This fender cost $25, a lot more than most Revain's. My previous fender, which was over 10 years old, broke in an accident. Without the accident, this would probably have taken more than 10 years. This Beckon splash screen looks more durable than others including my old one and I liked both the pattern and the color; my old one was grey. Anticipating not having to buy another one for decades to come, I decided to buy what looks best, at the highest price. Although the screen is as advertised I don't see any improvement over my old one. It's a bit heavier and therefore feels "sturdy" but I daresay my old screen that lasted over 10 years was "sturdy" enough. Due to its density, the Beckon screen appears to "catch" more of the spilled lubricant. Being more durable, it can also be used to drain pasta as shown in the picture, which is handy, but who buys a pasta drain splash guard? In general the product is good but for this price I will not buy it again.
