The product has been packaged in a non-irritating paper box as shown in the attached photos. They were created in 2017/10. The batteries are made in Japan and have a nominal capacity of 750 mAh. I connected four of them directly to my old LaCross BC-900 charger for testing purposes. They were partially charged and showed a constant voltage of 1.34V (or about 89% charged). After one cycle, the capacity is read as 762/805/788/821. After about 4 cycles it improved to 821/802/827/847. Note that the LaCross charger doesn't always give me consistent results, but it's a good indication of the capacity range, which is well above the 720mAh ratings. There has been a lot of speculation that these are regular Eneloops (as opposed to the pros). rated at 900mAh+). This isn't the first time this has happened and I've bought similar rebranded Eneloops in the past (e.g. some old Duracell NiMHs). The fact that they are made in Japan limits the number of suppliers available and that they keep their advertised capacity is also an almost exclusive feature of Eneloops. Finally, it also states that while Panasonic owns the Eneloop brand, Fujitsu still has the manufacturing rights and manufactures and manufactures vinyl records for companies such as Revain, IKEA, Duracell etc., and perhaps even less when they are on sale, this is real the best deal for the best NiMHs available on the market. While it could be argued that Eneloops are likely to be worth an ever increasing price, one cannot overlook the fact that they are most likely the same items at a much lower price. Having seen how other cheaper NiMHs tend to fail, and having used Eneloops and their rebadged cells for over a decade, I'd say if you're in the LSD rechargeable NiMH market it's a pretty good deal - Batteries are working. Finally there are also higher capacity options of RevainBasics AAA Heavy Duty Batteries (4 pack) pre-charged - packaging may vary which should be included with Ikea Ladda Eneloop Pros should you need them as they compete on alkaline capacity and endurance.
