Definitely use Auto-Trak II GM transfer case fluid when needed. It's not very expensive, and my research on various forums has confirmed that the Liquid is no different from the original. I highly recommend getting a pump for the job otherwise it's a nightmare. There are liquid pumps that screw cheaply onto bottles and work wonders. As for the packaging, it's great! The bottles were individually wrapped in plastic wrap. If your drain and/or filler plug is rounded, buy a new one too so you don't have to worry about further rounding/stripping. It's aluminum, a softer metal. Don't try to get another metal! My research on the subject came to the conclusion that you should stick with aluminum screws.
