I have another desktop clip charger but it didn't impress me for a number of reasons. Before that, I want to say that I love the compact design and the durable (and long) power cord. The downsides in my use case are that the small washer that comes in contact with the table to secure the item is quite small and doesn't offer much stability. Once installed, the baffle appears to sway slightly from side to side. It's annoying. Second, the handle that screws onto the table is a bit small and the knurling is too thin, making it difficult to get a good grip. This, combined with the small drive observation above, makes it quite difficult to get a reliable connection to my desk. I don't often use USB in such a mixed port, so I really don't have any performance ratings. USB. All in all I would suggest looking around and see what else is out there.
