Revainrating 5 out of 5

A solid screen option that's really nicely done.

We ordered this screen to use on the basement wall for movie nights. In the box you get the fabric shade itself with a black border that serves as a conduit for the aluminum support frame. This is a high quality synthetic fabric, extremely smooth and clean, perfect for the job. The supporting framework consists of 20 aluminum tubes in two sizes, which are connected with plastic channel inserts and brackets. The frame is fairly easy to build, but it does take up a bit of space given the screen size. Longer tubes are used for the top and bottom and shorter ones for the sides. It's not 100% stiff, but it's quite strong and seems to hold its shape quite well with no ripples or fabric puckering. It includes four snap clips that can be wall mounted for a more permanent placement or alternatively provided with a self-adhesive backing. Snap bolts that can be used with clips if you prefer to use glue on the wall instead of screws. The screen does not include a dedicated ceiling suspension system, although either of the supplied suspension options can be used for this purpose if desired. When disassembled, all this is placed in a small box for storage. It would have been nice if it included a nylon carrying case for easy portability when using the screen less regularly. Anyhow, all you get is the box it came in for safekeeping. In use, the screen is really very good. The fabric is very thinly woven, looks very neat and lets light through well. The colors are beautifully bright and the projected images look very nice. I have a 1080p projector and both video games and movies look great on this screen. Interestingly, this isn't an opaque fabric so things projected onto it show up on the back, meaning it can be used for a rear view. Projection if you had a reason to use it that way. Conclusion: If you are looking for a projection screen that will last, this will easily fill the bill. It's beautifully finished, holds its shape, accepts projected light well, and serves its purpose. The fact that it has to be disassembled to put it away is an inconvenience, but it's inevitable if you buy this screen. The fact that it folds down into a small box is really handy for temporary use, although the inclusion of carrying care would have been a nice added value, I think it should have come to that. Overall, I think it's really worth recommending if the aspect ratio suits your needs.
