Review on ๐Ÿ”ช DEWALT DWA171424: High-Performance 7-1/4-Inch Circular Saw Blade - 24 Teeth by Andrew Mack

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Goodles blade for cutting wood, but for Hardie Board use diamond tipped blade.

I bought two of these to cut the Hardy board. I have no doubt they would have worked the way I've used others before. What stopped me from using them to cut the Hardie Board is the dust they create. Right after that I bought a Rockwell Versacut, a 3 inch handheld circular saw. It came with three blades, one of which was diamond, and they said it could cut tile and cement board. I LOVE IT. Not only does it cut through hardie board with ease, it has a lazer guide and generates less dust. The Lazer guide is useless in broad daylight, but there is a small V-notch on the saw's faceplate. If I kept the line in the middle of the V and followed it, my cut was perfect. I've made about 30 4 foot cuts in the Hardie Board and I have no doubt I can make 30 more. This one blade worked much better than the big carbide tipped blades. I like to use Versacut. These Dewalt blades are very good if you need them for other construction wood cutting jobs, but for Hardie Board use a diamond blade.
