Review on 7 Inch Japanese VG10 67 Layers Super Steel Santoku Knife - Kitory Damascus Warrior Series With G10 Handle & Gift Box by John Ortiz

Exquisite! - my new review

By sheer coincidence, this knife arrived just as I was making dinner. My friend/client watched as I took it out of the very nice presentation box it arrived in and gave it a quick cleaning. Then she asked me if it was sharp. I had a bowl of nectarines on my kitchen island, so I grabbed one, placed it on my cutting board and, without much force behind it, dropped the blade. WHOOSH! Bisected! Yes, the blade arrives impressively sharp. (It has plastic guards on the tip and the bottom for safety purposes when first handling it.) It has the right heft, the right look, a perfectly sized handle -- everything about this knife screams "quality"!There's not much more to say at this point. I've had the knife a whole 12 hours, used it once (tonight) to help prepare dinner, and it appears to be the best blade in the house, for the moment. Over the years, of course, any possible flaws are sure to appear. If/when they do, I'll be sure to return here and update my review. In the meantime, no news truly is good news.
