Beautiful, sharp, well-balanced.

This is an extremely well made example of a 7-inch Santoku knife. I love the contour of the handle, and the heft you get which I'm sure is due, in part, to the full-tang construction. This knife came pre-sharpened and it is razor sharp. The pattern from the Damascus steel is subtle, subdued and yet appealing. We're looking forward to getting years of service from this knife. The only thing this Santoku knife lacks that I have seen on others are the dimples that would run the length of the…

Pros
  • 7 Inches
Cons
  • The handle may crack over time

Decent for the price

I was looking for a 7x3 knife for prepping veggies. This Kitory looked decent but a little wider. It’s not forgeged it’s painted and marked like it’s hammered.Anyway for the price it does the job. I like my mercer chef knife better. I gave it three stars because it’s a fake hammered look painted with something?. It can chop but not mince or dice because it’s 3mm thick. I will keep it for hard shells, breaking down bones and rough chopping. As far as edge sharpness and durability it’s too soon…

Nice little Serbian style cleaver for the money

The cleaver arrived with no problems. It is super sharp with a nice size and weight for a smaller cleaver style knife. Has a nice balance, decent weight, and the handle fits our hands well. Cuts veggies and meats with no problem. However, I would NOT cut bone with this one, except the smallest of chicken bones if you really need to. The 7CR17MOV is not a "super steel" as advertised. This grade steel is on the edge of the better, stronger steels, like 8CR13MOV one of its next higher end cousins.

Pros
  • The knife's balanced weight distribution makes it easier to control during use, reducing the chance of injury or accidents
Cons
  • The blade may not be suitable for precise work on small items

beautiful knife that is a pleasure to use

Packaged in an understated black box with a magnetic closure, you can tell it is an item of quality the moment you open it. It is well balanced and extremely sharp. This is my first Santoku style knife and I find the size and shape superior to a chef's knife for most tasks; less of a point provides a larger chopping area and makes it easy to scoop up pieces you have just cut. I am totally in love with this knife and expect to enjoy it for a lifetime.

Pros
  • Suitable as a gift: beautifully packaged, magnetic opening and closing design, sponge fixed the knife, preventing product damage and cutting others during transportation, containing desiccant to prevent rust in long-distance shipping. The above measures guarantee the quality of the product when you receive it, so you can give it to others as a gift, I think they will be very satisfied.
Cons
  • The knife may not be durable enough for heavy use

Good, but. good for me

It seems like a great cleaver for the price but there is one small, yet important problem. As you can see in the photos, the metal of the handle protrudes beyond the wooden handle. This makes it uncomfortable to hold, especially given that cleavers generally need to be held tightly in order to use them safely. I'm going to return this one and try again and hope the next one is better - or I'll return that one too. Also, I ordered the one with the black handle and somehow got one with a brown…

Excellent Paring Knife

I've been in dire need of a good paring knife for way too long. I saw the reviews on this one & ordered it. I'm so glad I did. This thing is sharp! It peeled, sliced, & diced a potato in no time flat. It goes through hard veggies like a hot knife through butter! Very nice. I highly recommend. It's also a pretty knife. It has a nice weight to it & is just the right size.

Pros
  • The Damascus Warrior Series design of this knife is inspired by the legendary craftsmanship of Japanese sword-makers, ensuring that you are getting a true work of art
Cons
  • The knife may require additional maintenance compared to other knives

One of the things I like to do is order knives off Best Buy and try them out. Kitchen knives, outdoor knives, whatever. So as always I was excited to try this knife out. For reference, by standard set of knives against which I compare most things in my kitchen are my Shun Elite set.Right off the bat you get VG10 steel here, which is a steel produced in Japan and originally aimed at the Japanese knife market (note though that this knife is produced in China). It has that classic "Damascus" look…

Pros
  • It's good. Also very sharp.
Cons
  • After using it only 2 times, the blade became BENT and CRACKED.A TOTAL WASTE of MONEY.

Exquisite! - my new review

By sheer coincidence, this knife arrived just as I was making dinner. My friend/client watched as I took it out of the very nice presentation box it arrived in and gave it a quick cleaning. Then she asked me if it was sharp. I had a bowl of nectarines on my kitchen island, so I grabbed one, placed it on my cutting board and, without much force behind it, dropped the blade. WHOOSH! Bisected! Yes, the blade arrives impressively sharp. (It has plastic guards on the tip and the bottom for safety…

Pros
  • With 67 layers of steel, this knife is beautiful to look at and will impress anyone who sees it
Cons
  • The handle may be too slippery for wet conditions

Highly recommend in my review

This is, by far, my favorite knife! I use it for everything. The balance of this unit is exceptional! I haven’t had any issues at all.

Pros
  • VG10 67 Layers Damascus Steel: The ultra-sharp VG10 super steel cutting core with 60+ Rockwell hardness provides exceptional performance and edge retention. 67 layers of high-quality steel ensure superior strength, durability and stain resistance, with strong rust resistance. The Damascus wave pattern on the surface adds to the artistic charm of the knife.
Cons
  • The design may not be suitable for left-handed users

Good paring knife best in my review

Got this Kitory Paring Knife to replace an old lower quality paring knife, and add another piece to my growing collection of damascus knives.Design is alright, the blade structure is san mai, the damascus is decorative (could just as readily be mild steel), there appears to be a weld joint at the ricasso, I would not be surprised if the tang were not VG10. Calling kitchen knives the "Warrior Series" seems absurd.Build quality is good, following that design I don't see any defects, everything is

Pros
  • Alloy Steel
Cons
  • The knife may not be dishwasher safe

Hmmm, a used cleaver?

It came in a nice box but the blade was scuffed up and was totally scratched up as though it had been used before. You would think that it should come out of the box in pristine shiny condition. Disappointed to say the least .

Pros
  • Feels good in your hand the balance is good and very sharp
Cons
  • The knife requires regular sharpening to maintain its edge

Excellent balance and cutting edge

I was looking for a heavy blade that was balanced and had a sharp cutting edge. I found it with this blade. I have medium sized hands, for reference.

Pros
  • This is far better than expected! You will order it, try it, and order another for a friend!
Cons
  • It may be too heavy for some users, causing hand fatigue

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Quality Questionable!

Rust formation on upper blade after first wash. The knife may not fit in some knife rolls or bags. Otherwise, ergonomic and good balance while chopping and slicing.

Pros
  • With a razor-sharp edge that stays sharp for a long time, this knife reduces prep time and makes cooking more efficient
Cons
  • The knife may not fit in some knife rolls or bags

Great knife in my review

Very heavy knife. The knife came extremely sharp. It is very heavy and at times hard to hold using only the handle. It is easier to adopt a slightly different holding style

Pros
  • This bad boy slices like a dream. If you’re on the fence, get off it. It’s worth it.
Cons
  • The blade may be too long for some cuts, making it difficult to control

Looks pretty great!

It's a pretty lovely knife. I appreciate the rustic look. It is light but sturdy. The box is black and smooth and i like that too for gifts

Pros
  • As the knife is made from high-quality materials, it is easy to care for and maintain, making it a great investment for any home chef
Cons
  • The knife may be too expensive for some purchasers

Beautiful, balanced knife

Really nice knife, the handle is so pretty. It is sharp, well balanced, has good weight to it and was beautifully packaged. As you can see in the video it slices and dices a tomato (the ultimate knife test) with ease! Highly recommend it!

Pros
  • its very sharp, cut thru thick cuts of meat like butter!!
Cons
  • Great knife, but not sharp and dulls fast. Feels good and nice weight.

Sturdy Blade good for me

You may want to get a whetstone, the very tip is bent on arrival and catches on things, but if you sharpen it down it's fine. Overall a nice blade, I wouldnt use it to butcher anything with hard bones though.

Pros
  • This is a versatile knife that can be used for a variety of tasks in the kitchen, including slicing, chopping, and mincing
Cons
  • The blade may be too flexible for some users’ preferences

Best knife in my kitchen

I work as a chef and this is the best knife in the entire kitchen. It holds its edge and is very easy to sharpen. It is a way better knife than some of the top brand knives that I've used. Love it.

Pros
  • Muy buen cuchillo los cortes son excelentes y agarre comodo
Cons
  • The handle can become slippery in wet conditions

Really great paring knife!

This is a great knife! It passed the tomato test for sharpness. It has a great balance to it and looks good too! The handle may absorb odors over time!

Great looking functional bone cleaver

So far I am loving the Kitory Line. This is my second knife I bought from them and the first one was nice and sharp and held its edge so far. I'm always apprehensive buying knives on Best Buy but I've not been disappointed with these guys.

Pros
  • Santoku Knives
Cons
  • The design may not match other knives in a set
