I have bought three of these products over the years and each failed when the silicone rubber suction cup became too thin. This is the same effect you may have seen with silicone rubber spatulas after years of use. Unfortunately, the sun is far more damaging than a frying pan, and the clear silicone rubber quickly degrades, leaving a nasty slime that runs down your windshield. my last case The product was purchased at the end of June 2020, it started leaking earlier this month, June 2021. A few years later one would hope that Macally would do something about the problem. Suggestion: Traditional rubber is often protected from the sun by adding black to limit the penetration of harmful UV rays. I think it could do the same for this case. Other than that, the product is excellent. But 3 bounces are enough to prevent further purchases.
