It would be better if I could remove the backing paper

UPDATE: 08/17/20 I have 4 left. As said so far, they seem to be holding up. It was a real pain in my ass trying to get the red plastic off the glue. This is the second time I've ordered, the first one came back for this reason: it's incredibly difficult to remove the red backing to actually USE it. Out of 16 I was able to glue TWO. And so far so good. I have no way of installing curtain rods as I have a landslide. If I can get the other 6 to work I will increase my stars. Remember: use light weight rods, they are tiny but will hold my curtains.
