Review on Rustic Mason Jar Chandelier, 5-Light Hanging Pendant Lighting Fixture With Faux Wood Finish For Farmhouse Dining Room Or Kitchen Island, Brown by Brian Stepp

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Love the lights, hate the base.

I really liked the look of the light, except for the base, and it wasn't bad to install despite the fact that I had to move the existing light's wire to a new junction box in the ceiling. On shortening down the cords, I did have to cut the wires and reattach them with the wire nuts, after shortening them, so there would be enough room in the base for the wire, as there was quite a bit of extra wire there and it wouldn't have fit.Like others said, the base looks cheap with that faux wood look. I ended up sanding down the base as it isn't vinyl wrapped but painted, then painted it black, then overlayed it with copper and then sprayed it with oil rubbed bronze. I then wiped off the edges after the top coat had almost dried, with a rag with some acetone to reveal the copper. Now it has a nice oil rubbed finish and no longer has that cheap faux wood look on the base.
