I bought this iced tea infuser. I add about 3 tablespoons of topless tea leaves (I like Lipton Yellow Label) to a full (2 quart) teapot. After brewing, the teapot is filled 1/2 with moist tea leaves. Do not overfill - this allows the leaves to swim in it and develop their full aroma in the boiling water. I haven't used it for sun tea but I think it will work for this one. The size corresponds to the description. If filled with loose tea, it would hold about a measuring cup. The chain is long enough for the pod to fit perfectly through the top of the kettle, leaving about 3/4 inch clearance around the perimeter. A hook is useful for sun tea but is not needed for a teapot. The lid screws on securely and has never come loose during brewing. If you enjoy brewing hot or iced tea in bulk, this is for you.
