Bought specifically for winter weather. We don't live in a snow country, but we often go to the mountains for winter sports. Much better quality but still doesn't take up much space in the box. I ordered the size to match our car and it fits perfectly. The elastic loops that attach to the side mirrors are perfectly positioned and hold the cover well. on the. It also makes it very easy to install the cover yourself without needing the help of someone on the other side of the car to install it. The "wings" fixed in the doors are another nice touch to keep the top of the shield. However, I had to make an adjustment: I folded and attached the wine cork to each wing so that the cork was right inside the closed door. It took a little measurement and it probably won't work. if you plan to use this sign in more than one vehicle. In our case we will only use this shield in one machine. The reason is that we have used this shield about 6 times with no problems. They put up a sign, left it for a day, came back and just shook off the snow to leave with a clean windshield. . . until we used it on a very windy day. Back at the car that day we found the top half of the shield was flapping in the wind. The shield was simply held in place by elastic loops around the side mirrors. Apparently the winds were so strong that they managed to pull the wings out of the closed doors. The cork ends I fixed in the doors now act as "stoppers" to prevent the wings from coming out. I measured this by putting the shield on and sitting inside with the fenders sticking into the car. I placed the cork directly into the closed door, folded the end of the wing over the cork, marked and measured. Then I simply sewed the cork in place. Think of it like a wing with a bulge at the end. You could probably use almost anything to create this bulge. I was thinking of a dowel or stick but didn't want anything that might break, snap or get in the way of the storage lid collapsing. I also thought of simply rolling up the ends and sewing them into a bun. In any case, the cork worked great. Since then we've used it twice on windy days and returned to the car to find the screen was still there.
