I bought them because the description said they can hold up to 30 pounds. The item I wanted to hold weighs less than 6 pounds. Installation went without problems. But when I was about to hang my item, the handle slowly continued to slide the full length of the handle. He wouldn't keep my item. The thickness of the handle is no more than a broom handle and probably a little thinner. I tried wrapping masking tape around the handle but that didn't stop it from slipping off. I ended up using velcro and so far it seems to have prevented it from slipping off. If I had known I would have trouble keeping my item I would have looked elsewhere.
