Review on 1 Inch Beduan Brass Electric Solenoid Valve, 12V Normally Closed Air Valve For Water, Gas, Fuel, And Oil by James Parker

I've purchased 6x of these. Using for garden irrigation. Cannot get a water tight seal on the majority of them. Water pressure is 45 psi so that's within spec of the valve. I used 1/2 NPT connectors to the inlet and outlet of the valve body with pipe dope, and 9 of the 12 connections have small leaks. Reinstalled mail connection multiple times with progressively higher torque each time until threads are maxed out; still leaking.I'm no noob to plumbing, I've had a woodshop with extensive 150 psi air lines and have done tons of plumbing (water) projects with no issues like this.
