I bought this light because I thought of a few uses in my life where a portable remote controlled light would be useful. There are a lot of options out there but this one was designed to go under water which is what drew me to it specifically.I bought this so that I could bring it camping with me, for working in my garage at night, and for when I am smoking meat outside at night.This unit comes equipped with both magnetic attachment. So you can stick it to any metals that magnets will stick to and it seems to stick very well. I stuck it on the frame of my grill one night, on the frame part that doesn't get hot and used it to light up the area. My grilling area doesn't have outside lighting so I had been using a flashlight previously. However this being hands free makes it a way nicer option.It also comes with suction cups, which could have its uses for non metallic surfaces such as glass, plastic, etc. while camping. I was able to stick it to my cooler which was one of the things I wanted to test. I also stuck it in the shower to test how it would hold up to rain. It did well, still worked afterwards I let it sit a bit and opened it up and did not find any water in the battery compartment.I am sure I will find other uses for it in future. The remote works well. I haven't tested the limits of the range yet but seems to work suitably well at 15-20 feet at least. It has buttons to set the colors, brightness, modes, and to turn it on and off as well as set a timer. The timer feature will be useful while camping because I can stick it outside my tent so that people don't trip over my stuff and have it turn off in the morning. It also has a red light which is less intrusive to your night vision.It requires 3 AA batteries. I haven't been able to fully test the battery life quite yet. However I have not had to replace them yet after several hours of use.Would definitely recommend this to anyone who needs a versatile remote controlled light.
