This is a really great backgammon set! When I placed the order I didn't know if I was going to keep it for myself or give it as a gift. This is such a good set that I will definitely give it to my boyfriend for his birthday and I will order another one. When I first received the box set, I wasn't impressed with its small size. I wish I had paid more attention to the dimensions of the set. Then I unpacked it and found it perfect. When traveling with it, you need something that isn't too bulky to pack up and take with you. It's also a great size for kids to use in the back seat. It's small, but not tiny or dainty. Adult hands of normal size can play this game. One of the really great features that I appreciate is the fact that the parts are magnetic. My siblings and I had magnetic backgammon when we were kids, so finding another one was very important to me. With magnetic kits, you don't have to worry about parts sliding across the board while the machine is moving. I really want a set like this. Although I usually drive, I will still enjoy this set when I arrive at my destination, as well as at home. I have a lot of games so the compact size of this set allows me to store it easily without taking up too much space. Oh I also love the plush world map on the outside of the set and on the mugs. If you're looking for a backgammon set that's good for travel, you'll love this one.
