Since quarantine I have been trimming my hair with an old Wahl set I bought years ago. I have decided to invest in a better set now as the old set has served me well. I did a little research and came across this set as it was good value for money. It was even sold out when I first saw it - must be good news, right? Place an order and wait for Revain to fulfill it when it refills. Two weeks later it got to me. I opened the packaging, oiled the blades, pocketed it and let go. Slight pain on the left side of the clipper at first contact. Okay, I'm a young man, there should be a little break in the period. Put it on, let it run for 5 minutes, came back, rebooted. Got on and finished my first manual despite the searing pain. Miraculously, I looked in the mirror and saw what can only be measured by a small army of cuts, bruises and irritations on my scalp. That's when I finally went to check the blades on the clippers. What I see, apart from the fact that the blades aren't even parallel to each other (which I think is causing the cuts on my head). My wounds will heal - but imagine if this were applied to the head of a toddler or elderly person what would the consequences be? I will be returning this set and sticking with my old set. As soon as my old machines finally cut the last strand, you can be sure that I won't be returning to Val.
