Review on 🚿 KOHLER K-2967-BR1 20x26 Aluminum Bathroom Medicine Cabinet with Oil-Rubbed Bronze Framed Mirror Door - Recess/Surface Mount by Christopher Isaac

Would love to have one in my bathroom but have to return it as I can't do recess mounting due to plumbing behind the wall. Simply put, this mirror is not designed to be surface mounted.1. It's very well made, so it's very heavy. But the support rail and associated brackets appear to be very fragile. I just don't feel safe mounting this mirror with a tiny guide at the bottom and two tiny clips at the top. The mirror is only 20 inches wide and the batten is even shorter. This means that only one side of the batten can be nailed to the stud and the other side must be secured with a drywall anchor. Just let it take effect.2. This mirror is very thick. Its thickness exceeds 6 inches. Because I have a light above the mirror, that mirror pretty much blocks all the light from the light. This makes the room very dark.3. I have a 48" sink so I figured I could mount two of these side by side. But due to #1 above, I'm just worried that two of them might ruin my drywall due to the weight.
