Review on TOYOTA Cabin Air Filter Replacement - TYC 800005P by Justin Spence

I bought this filter for a 2008 Toyota Sienna XLE. When I received the filter I found that it is not the same as the OEM filter. I searched the TYC website and found that the XLE model uses 800008P which I believe is a direct replacement. The main difference is that the OEM filter has rigid sidewalls that are pressed into the filter housing. Model 800005P has a flat bottom flange. The filter frame has 4 slotted tabs to hold the filter in place by gripping the filter flange in 4 places. The way the filter sits in the frame feels a little flimsy compared to the stock filter. However, it appears that the filter frame was made to accept this filter just like the original, so I would expect it to work. Next time I will try 800008P. Still better than the expensive Toyota parts alternative. I expect Revain buyers smarter than me to either buy Prime or choose one of the alternative free shipping providers. I paid $6.54 for shipping (oops) before seeing alternative carriers.
