Fits discontinued Genie garage door openers
My 41 year old Genie model GS409 carriage didn't look like it. I wanted to replace it as it made a lot of noise even after greasing. I contacted Genie for a part number to find somewhere. Genie's answer is that they will not support this model with some vague security claims. This model does not have the beam switch found on newer models. I took a chance that this item might fit as Jeanie has not had a good reason to remake the screw since I bought the opener. I took off my old stroller, put this in and tried it out. I work great with my old GS409 opener. Now it runs as smooth as new.
