🔧 Authentic Genie 36179R.S Garage Door Opener Trolley Assembly - OEM Part, Ensuring Quality and Compatibility Review

I purchased and installed a Genie OEM garage door trolley in April 2019. In February 2020 it fell apart after a derailment and my garage door slammed shut. These parts aren't difficult to install or maintain, and I sincerely believe that cheap plastic is at the root of the problem. I ordered another one and it installed quickly, but I'm worried this one will fail as well.

Integral part. Mine broke in two cycles up and down. I was able to combine an old broken gear with striped gear that has been running for the past 20+ years. able to take them both apart and use the old plastic part and the new internal parts and mechanism. So far, so good. I give 1 star because it breaks so easily and isn't the same quality as the original bought decades ago.

Installation was easy and quick. solved my problem The garage door slammed violently, especially when opened at high speed as the cart passed the pivots in the drive screw. When looking at the old part, there was clear wear and tear on the internal gearing. The original lasted 15 years so I can't complain. I kept the old car "just in case". Final Final Update 5/2021 I have replaced my Genie with a Chamberlain belt drive. It works great, is quiet and hasn't had any issues with my door. Also, he has a phone app that notifies me of the status of the garage door in addition to full control. All parts of the gin were thrown in the trash. Status: 5/2021 Yes, my garage door is heavy.
