The first thing I would like to say is that this is not one of those plug and play switches. You need to set this up for it to work. It's not exactly a device for new users, and it takes a bit of experience or time to set it up. The closest thing to it is that it has ten gigabit ethernet ports, but two gigabit ethernet ports will most likely be connected to additional smart switches. It comes with a 19-inch rack mount that attaches to the Switch, which is a nice touch. Build quality is pretty good. The switch itself is pretty well made and surprisingly small, which is a good thing. It's not too heavy, but that can be explained by the lack of a built-in power supply. This switch is a Power over Ethernet device. As far as I can tell, it can output up to 67 watts. However, the device does not have an internal power supply and requires a power supply to operate this device. This means there's a pretty heavy brick attached to it that you need to find a place for and not leave hanging, which is a bit of a shame. From what I tested, VLAN is supported the way I needed it for my projects. All settings are made through a web browser, which is very convenient. However, setting it up isn't the easiest. There are many different options and it will take you some time to learn how they should be configured if you are new to them. I'm no expert on this and it took me a while to figure out what does what. There's a user guide, but frankly it's useless unless you're familiar with engineering-level networking. One thing I would like to say is that you should change the default password whenever you have the opportunity as it is a universal password. The switch can be easily labeled so you know what is connected to what. Overall this is a good switch, but I'm a bit disappointed with the power delivery. For something this expensive I would expect it to be inline. It's good for your server projects, but remember that it's not something newbies can start and use.
