There is no plastic, but maybe the problem lies in the production?
Pro : no plastic! Who would have thought that washing Chinese-made plastic with hot water would be a good idea? Cons: There is an odd mark on the inside of the glass that I haven't tried to remove. Soap and washcloths didn't help. This is a very tricky corner and a place where you can get through a small opening. My friend says he will try so we didn't send it back.
