Review on Power Gear Tester 110V 125V 50957 by Michael Copeland

Revainrating 5 out of 5

This tester made the above process really easy. Instead of carrying a lamp or something.

We are adding some outlets to our kitchen and need to figure out which outlets are controlled by which switches. We decided to do what we should have done years ago, which was to map the entire house. Now we know which switch to turn on/off for each outlet and light source in the house. With all this information we created a table and then also wrote it on the control panel with permanent marker. Okay, that's the backstory, but what does that have to do with this tester. This tester made the above process really easy. Instead of lugging a lamp or other electrical device from room to room to see when the power goes out by turning switches on and off, we just hook up a tester. For that it worked great. We also found two sockets that needed to be repaired. The only minor complaint would be that the yellow is more like orange than yellow. However, it is distinctly different from red, so there were no problems distinguishing the two colors. The white "blank circle" really just means the lights are off. A basic device at a great price and worth the money for what we needed.
