Review on Pyle PLMRMBT5B: Weatherproof Bluetooth Marine Amplifier - 600W Power, 2 Channel Wireless Amp for Stereo Speaker, Waterproof Design, RCA/AUX/MP3 Input by Tim Bunker

Revainrating 3 out of 5

the good, the bad, and the not so ugly.

this amp just isn't bad. Bluetooth works well on it which is why I gave it 3 stars but if you need more power then this so called 1200w amp is not for you. I was trying to push two eights and two 6.5s on my boat. I was concerned when I took it out of the box and saw how small it was. much less than it seems. I'm not sure how they got the 1200 watt rating, but I've seen them be a lot smaller and lighter than 1200 watt amps. it's not as loud as i expected. But for the price I'm sure it'll be good for most boating applications and as I mentioned nluetooth has worked well so far. Just don't expect much performance. I'd say it's closer to the 200-300 watt max, which is fine for most speakers. You also don't need a head deck with this one. so it doesn't clog your boat. It is Bluetooth module and speaker power supply in one.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Mostly ok, but...
