I've been using a small plastic triple-folding holder that I bought at the car wash for many years. Over the years the plastic will transfer the inscription of the car club registration and insurance card directly onto the plastic. It was too small so I had to put everything in little squares of paper. Pains. I was pleasantly surprised by the size and the quality of the outside. It does take up a little more room in the glove box, but it works well. One thing I should mention is that it has more compartments than I really need, which can be a plus if you have more than the registration and proof of insurance you want.
