Review on πŸ› οΈ Effortless Installation with McGard 65300 SplineDrive Installation Tool by Edris Holwell

Revainrating 3 out of 5

By split I mean the top of the key turns into a skirt shape that is tight at the end.

I am giving it 3 stars because I had to replace the one that came with the original kit. I bought a 65454BK kit that came with a different nut/wrench. The second key is twice as thick and won't melt towards the end if you remove the wheels too often. However, this wrench does just that. It starts to split at the ends where you insert it into the jam nut. The metal is VERY thin which causes it to snap at the ends if the wheels are removed too many times. By cut I mean the tip of the wrench turns into a skirt that ends up barely gripping the nut. McGard MUST make it twice as thick to prevent this or make it out of a stronger metal.

Pros
  • Tire and Wheel Tool
Cons
  • Only available in white
