Great replacement tool.

The tire dealer lost my old tool. It works great, has very thin walls and is great for countersunk nuts. It appears to be aluminum and, combined with its thinness, feels quite fragile. I'm definitely not going to use Impact with it.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Nothing

Saved me $50 at the dealer

This key was my replacement for a 2013 Kia Soul with red locking tabs. The place they were rotated tightened them but the crossbar with the arm extension tube allowed a slow and steady push to loosen all the lugs, it looks and feels like the OEM key I lost.

Pros
  • Easy install
Cons
  • Has cons

Thank God the exchange is not expensive!

This wedge drive fits smaller cars if you have 8 wedges. My original drive ended up failing after a year and I was so scared I wouldn't be able to find a replacement. Luckily I found it here and the best part is that unlike other products it is cheap.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Functionality

Nice to have an extra tool

I bought this as an extra tool just in case. I did seem to notice tiny splinters coming loose from the inside of the tool, but I had no concerns about the overall strength as other reviewers have noted. I tighten them very carefully with a hand torque wrench. Maybe the local shop gorillas drank too much Ugga-Dugga.

Pros
  • Tools and Equipment
Cons
  • A dubious purchase for the elderly

I am giving it 3 stars because I had to replace the one that came with the original kit. I bought a 65454BK kit that came with a different nut/wrench. The second key is twice as thick and won't melt towards the end if you remove the wheels too often. However, this wrench does just that. It starts to split at the ends where you insert it into the jam nut. The metal is VERY thin which causes it to snap at the ends if the wheels are removed too many times. By cut I mean the tip of the wrench turns

Pros
  • Tire and Wheel Tool
Cons
  • Only available in white

McGard Spline Drive Installation Tool 65300

Black, Chrome, Red Cap etc. This tool gets bad reviews because the socket wall is thin and will break if you don't reinforce it. Drive nuts to suit my application come in sets of 20, 24, or 30. I didn't or didn't need lock nuts on each lug, and I didn't pay $30 for the nuts. 3 or 4 nuts will do. The McGard 65330 was perfect EXCEPT for bad reviews of the instrument. I couldn't find another head 13/16 8 slots so I decided to modify the tool. If you've got hands you can do what I did: it took me…

Pros
  • Automotive
Cons
  • Slim
