Amazing Nostalgia Toy

Let me start by saying that I have a few Raspberry Pi products but never got zero. What really drew my attention to this product is that it looked almost exactly like a Gameboy growing up. This is the COMPLETE set with everything you need to start playing retro games. The screen is sharp, bright and easy to read. It was easy to assemble. You stick the zero pi into the shell, which sits on the back like a cartridge, and push it in to connect. The kit includes detailed instructions. Radiators are standard and help dissipate some of the heat. One of the biggest advantages of the design in this case is that it has a power button that you can use with a safe shutdown script that tells you where to download it in the manual. I wish it could be included on the SD card they provide, but it's easier to just download it for the right software. The buttons are tactile and clicky. My only wish is that the left and right bumper buttons on the back are a bit higher and easier to press. There are many programs that can be used with it, retropie, lakka and recalbox. I've used all three, most beginners will probably benefit from recalbox as it's the easiest. The case and bag were a little disappointing, the case seemed fine until I opened it and it could be more user error on my part, but I struggled to figure out exactly how to place it. The bag feels unnecessary due to the hard case, but some people might prefer it. If I had to think of a minus point for all of this, I would say that it doesn't have a built-in battery, which would immediately make it an ESSENTIAL and not a good toy. On the other hand, the nostalgia of changing the battery may bring the Gameboy even closer to the buyer.
