The best premium granular activated carbon I've found for achieving pure water. I always rinse my charcoal pellets before using them and change them regularly to clean the water and not expose my system to excessively adsorbed nitrate from overused, nitrate-laden charcoal. I use a 1 cup to 100 gallon ratio. I use my activated carbon in my tank's sump reactor filter. I cannot stress enough that activated charcoal is not a daily aquarium filtration tool. It is designed for water polishing and occasional use.
