The Aneng AN8008 is a surprisingly good quality multimeter for the price. It is ideal for home and hobby use. I am an electrical engineer and have used various multimeters (mainly Fluke brands) in my work. I have some cheap multimeters at home - this one costs twice as much but is much better. The test leads aren't great, but you can get some better ones pretty cheaply (and you can afford them with the money you saved on this meter).
