I give these blocks 5 stars for their purpose. These are single sheet pallets for use with specialty inks for this specialty paper. I figured this paper would work for paint and other materials, from kids' crayons to my artist pencils. In fact, the coated surface prevents such use, as the attached photo shows. On re-reading the description of this product, I understood its purpose and can say yes, this is an ideal paper for humid environments, even for holding children's finger paint drips. You can put a few drops of paint on this paper, even work with it, and when you're done, just throw this sheet away and clean it up very easily. When purchasing sketchbooks, make sure you understand the purpose of those sketchbooks.
