This protector is just what I needed to protect the front and back of my homemade "rocket" longboard. My deck is 1/2 inch thick and the protection adheres very well to the board. . The protection matches the rounded front end as expected. I had my doubts about the guards covering the back and I was right. The protective cover could not wrap around the shape of the tail section. This is NOT a negative sign of protection. I'm wrong how I designed the tail section. My decision to install protection at the end is sufficient and acceptable to me. I cut it to length with a dremel. It will take time to determine the durability of this protection, but it looks promising.
