These pre-made polishing pads are great for removing any tarnish from silver. With a handy 2" x 2" square size, they polish silver jewelry quickly and easily. The pads are made of thin foam that leaves no lint or residue after polishing. Each pad is bonded with micro-abrasives that won't scratch like steel wool. Being thin and flexible, the edges of the lining can be used to get into hard-to-reach places. They definitely add some shine, but when I need a very shiny mirror finish I end up using a polishing cloth or buff. In addition to the overall brilliance of your silver, these pads perfectly accentuate raised (embossed) areas of silver metalwork. if aging/darkening agents such as Silver Black or Liver Sulfur have been added to the design. I keep them in a ziplock bag as they seem to dry out and don't work that well when they do. If you use them in an area where you do metal work, be sure to keep them. Metal dust and dirt stick to the surface along with other small particles, so the next time you use the pad, it's more likely to be scratched than polished. Remember. Package with zip.
