Review on Chicago Girls Training Roller Skate by Mike Pearson

Revainrating 3 out of 5

My 5 year old daughter loved them. This is her first pair of roller skates

First of all my 5 year old daughter liked them. This is her first pair of roller skates. That's why I give them 3 stars. Unfortunately after only using them for 3 weeks I now have to buy another pair of skates from a different brand. buckle problem. They're like ski boots, but made of soft plastic with metal loops. You can imagine that after a few uses the plastic part just gave up. Some reviews have mentioned that the buckles don't stay locked. In fact, I have found that the pink part of the clasp needs to be pushed forward a bit to allow the metal pin to snap into the groove of the metal mates on the boots. If this is not done, the buckle will come loose immediately. However, this would put additional stress on the plastic part. Look at the photo I took and I hope you get what I mean. At the same time I bought the Roller Derby Boy Tracer adjustable roller skates for my 9 year old son and they are still in very good condition especially the buckle part. They snap easily and show no signs of wear yet. And I will buy this for my daughter, the girls version of course.
