First: Clean up your returns before remanufacturing. This is a common courtesy, especially during a pandemic. And it would be reassuring that the device wasn't damaged or miscalibrated. Second: the calibration instructions say to use distilled water (0 Brix). But this product can only measure Brix up to 58%. So do I have to mix up a batch of 58% plain syrup? I'm here alone because there are no other reviews and no Q&A and I now need to measure the water activity so I can decide what to do with a 35lb batch of honey before it starts to ferment.
