Review on 📬 Gibraltar Mailboxes Patriot GMB515B01: Large Capacity, Rust-Proof Black Plastic Post-Mount Mailbox by Brandon Fernandez

I love this new letter box. Actually I had the same thing about 10 years ago and it was perfect until one day I got too close to it in my car and twisted the door hinge. The new one attaches easily to my existing wooden Home Depot mailbox with bracket (nothing fancy). I took this little yellow "Mail is here!" hand and put it on its left side, then I attached a small American flag to it so I could see it better from about 80 feet from my house. The flag also hides the meaning of the "Mail is here" hand - when the postman brings the mail, the Stars and Stripes appear immediately! When I collect my mail I lower the flag but still keep it at the right angle. In any position, the flag looks like a decoration only - it doesn't scream "Mail is here!" (just me!). Another good thing, I can see the flag raising as I drive to the driveway, even though it's on the other side of the mailbox so I can see it from inside the house. I think the manufacturer should rethink their 'email delivery' indicator and turn it into a larger US flag. Anyway - the mailbox is called "Patriot!" I've had this new mailbox for a few months and it works great. I particularly appreciate that it can hold packages and magazines/directories horizontally.
