A great upgrade from the DT-200X which I have used for many years. DT-200X also works well. I'm an AM radio geek so it's good to have more than one. I like the preset station feature on this radio. The AM sensitivity is great, but I didn't directly compare it to the old radio. It's just a super cool radio - I'm very happy with it! The only minor complaint about the headphones that come with the kit. It comes with the Sangean earbuds, which have a round, saucer-shaped part that sits outside of the ear canal. It always seems to me that headphones of this type are about to fall out. They just don't give you the feeling of security and isolation that even cheap in-ear headphones can give. These headphones will now live in my litter box. I prefer Walmart's $9 Skullcandy headphones.
