Review on Ceramic Hot Faucet by Pfister - Model 9100310 by Mark Sharma

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Fixed my faucet much better than the non-original version

I have a Pfister Trevsio sink that is about 5 years old and came with a house I bought about 3 years ago. During this time I have struggled with several failed attempts to fix leaking cartridges, particularly on the hot water side. The original "910-024" from Pfister has been replaced by this "9100310" and is of significantly higher quality than the replica product that you will find at both major DIY retailers. After replacing this part with a non-genuine part for the third time in 3 years, I was willing to toss this sink and just replace it until I found this part that finally solved my problem. 9100310 is designed to work. with several Pfister faucet models including the widely used Treviso faucet that I own. When installing on this model, be sure to keep the brass bolt lock from the old cartridge and remove the white plastic sleeve you see in the picture with the screw from the old cartridge. Reuse the o-ring on the white bushing to replace the old one on the outside of the brass bolt and on the inside and outside of the stem. Reattach the cartridge to the faucet, but be careful not to overtighten! It doesn't take much effort to secure it. Before putting everything back together, turn the water back on and check for leaks. You may notice a small amount of water dripping out of your faucet at first, but it should stop after a minute or two. If it keeps dripping, you can turn the cartridge back on a little, then open/close the faucet a few times and check again. If you have a little drop left, it's best to just leave and come back in 10 minutes. If after this time the faucet stopped dripping, then everything should be fine. Hope this helps someone else.
