Review on πŸ”Œ Sopoby Assorted Insulated Terminals: Reliable Connectors for Safe and Efficient Connections by Sean Purnomo

Cheap connectors are cheap but they work

With these connectors you get what you pay for. I ordered 4 boxes of these connectors for easier quick connection of LED channels. After using over 100 pairs of these connectors, here's what you should know: - If you want a stable connection, use at least 18 AWG wire. Thinner wires seem to work, but they're a lot more random. However, you can remove most of the thinner wire, bend it once or twice, and twist it together if necessary to make a better connection. The orientation of the connectors in the crimping tool makes a difference in the consistency of the connection. Connection and ease of connection of joints to each other. For best results, ensure the seam of the inner metal of the connector (male or female) is perpendicular to the jaws. Due to loose manufacturing tolerances, not all connectors fit together easily. Some slide in like butter, others require a lot of force to push each other in. I highly recommend testing the connection between the plug and socket before crimping the wires. Try to mix and match to get as many good combinations as possible. After all, I still find it more profitable to buy these cheap connectors and deal with a bit of a headache than to spend 5-20x more on "quality" connectors that do the same thing effectively.
