I have two of these e-packs, one for road bikes and one for mountain bikes. I mainly use them as a carrier for my cell phone. The 4 straps are very secure and I'm sure they will stay on the bike. I like listening to music while driving, so my phone plays music through the speaker and fits in the e-pack. I can hear music well, but my ears are free to listen to traffic noise and other people. Other people don't usually hear it unless they're nearby. For mountain biking, I added a few pieces of cardboard to the bottom and edges for extra impact protection on the frame. I usually put my phone and digital camera in there when I drive. They stayed safe even after some steep descents. Having a handy camera is a huge bonus for quick snapping of occasions. One thing that could be improved is that the velcro to close the top should have some sort of pull tab to make it easier to open. If not properly aligned, the grippy portion of the Velcro will tend to rub against your pants when standing or sitting down/dismounting. It's ok but it makes a terrible scratching noise and I noticed a few scuffs on the shorts.
