Review on Aven 17010 Adjustable Circuit Holder by Gregory Flynt

Overall I think this adjustable clip is fantastic. It's versatile for small panel work as the teeth have multiple recesses for different clamping configurations. When using this I noticed that when I rotated the board in a certain direction it seemed to resist rotation and when it rotated I heard a grating noise along with a "pop". After a while, I noticed small pieces of plastic appearing on the bottom beam, leading me to believe the popping sound was coming from the spring ripping the plastic out of the frame. (which was confirmed when I disassembled and examined the frame). Correction: Puck #10. Unfortunately, the #10 washer doesn't quite fit the shaft, so it may need some reaming (I used a 7/16" drill bit and it fits perfectly). I've added photos for those interested. .
