Looks great in the pictures and theoretically possible. The product is cheap and you get what you pay for. The description of the item should be more detailed and specific to BMW that in order for the BMW emblem to be placed in front of this ambient lighting, two holes must be drilled to accommodate the two legs of the emblem. However, when I did this, the lighting became unusable. The only other possibility to mention would be to cut off the legs from the emblem and simply glue them to the light unit. If there are additional emblems or a spare is purchased, it should work. There is a hole on the trunk where one of the emblem's legs goes that can be used to feed the lighting wires in and keep things tidy. As for the hood, I'm not sure, I haven't gone that far.
