First I want to say that I collect and sell these bikes as a hobby, so this is not my first set. I have worked on this engine sporadically since I got it and it has never worked very well for more than a minute. I heard a knock and felt the butt hit my head. To solve this problem I had to add a shim under the pitcher to raise it a mil. It works a little better now, but still can't go more than a quarter throttle to keep the engine from drowning. It just keeps running with the throttle slightly back, but the idle screw doesn't solve the problem. If I solve this problem I will comment again, but if you buy this engine you may need additional shims to raise the engine platform enough to prevent piston knocking.
