Works well! for GPS, tracking devices and accessories

I received this GPS tracker in the mail a few days ago and am impressed with the quality of the unit. The app is easy to install and use, and I had no trouble syncing the tracker and receiver to my phone via Bluetooth. I was excited about this product as my dog loves to run around and we live in a rural wooded area. So far I'm disappointed that the tracker loses connection very easily. He did this while I was in my house with the handset and outside while still keeping an eye on my dog. I'm not sure why it loses connection. The device is fully charged. UPDATE: Almost went back but really wanted it to work for our situation. I decided to keep it because it works better after reducing the security zone around our house. The receiver didn't lose connection with the tracker until my dog left the geofence. Our home is surrounded by 15 acres of woods and our dog is allowed off leash outside or in a fenced area. Sometimes he would go away, visit neighbors and come back before I knew he was gone. So basically I wanted something that would allow me to be (guilty) a lazy dog owner. By reducing the geofence around my house, the app was able to notify me when it left the security zone. I went outside and pushed the button to activate the recording I had made on the tracker and my dog came running! The tracker and receiver went off a couple of times as he lay under our greenhouse to escape the heat (he's a husky mixed breed), his favorite sleeping spot. Also, I was able to place the receiver outside on the porch railing and have my phone with me inside, the Bluetooth connection didn't seem to have any connectivity issues. I also think it will work great if you go camping with it. UPDATE 9/23/19: NOT waterproof. We kayaked further down the river and my dog swam with a tracker on his collar. We tried positioning it on his neck, but he must have sunken enough to get the tracker wet. Unfortunately, the tracker stopped working even after drying. So far I have not been able to contact the company to get a new tracker. I was able to easily contact Petfon tech support and buy a new tracker.

Pros
  • 🐕LONG BATTERY, LIGHT WEIGHT AND RAIN PROTECTION: The Petfon GPS tracker is small and durable (42 mm x 42 mm x 18 mm, weight: 27.6 g). The rain cover function allows you to work in wet weather, but does not work when swimming. The Petfon GPS tracker's battery can last up to 8-16 hours and comes with a compact charging station. It can charge the device multiple times, which is perfect for unplugging.
Cons
  • Requires socket
