Review on Enhancing Towing Safety & Efficiency with πŸš— the Reese Towpower 7012900 Solo Hitch Alignment System by Jeff Jordan

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Great idea, bad execution!

They work well for truck and trailer alignment. But the first one I bought broke after a few months. The magnet on the underside that attaches it to either the hitch or hitch fell out and wouldn't go back in. I noticed that the product comes with a 1 year warranty. So I contacted the manufacturer only to be told to exchange it where I bought it. I told them it was Revain and they said Revain would honor their commitment and send me a new unit free of charge under warranty. Needless to say, Revain had no idea what they were talking about and I had to overcome quite a few hurdles to get them to send me a new one under warranty. Don't think it's Revane's fault that they ended up replacing the item. A few months later this new block broke too! The magnet fell out again and the telescopic rod broke just below the ball. Also the design wasn't the best as the bases are flat and the ball hitch on the trailer is usually round. So the one that's attached to the trailer was hard to get up without tipping over. Overall, as I said, the concept worked pretty well, but the design was terrible and not worth the money. I plan to make something based on the same design myself. But I guarantee anything I do will be way better than this crap!

Pros
  • Works great for me
Cons
  • Hard to tell
