I bought this at the start of the pandemic because we were all so desperate to wash our hands they were drying out. Unfortunately, that harsh, non-lathering soap didn't help. After we got through most of the first bar I gave up and went back to our old Michel Design Works hand soap but I topped it off with La Mer hand serum and hand cream and it was fine and any dryness healed overnight with products from La Mer. We used the leftover Dove soap by filling the bar in a small Pyrex bowl with water until it softened, then pouring some of it down the kitchen sink as we cleaned to keep it fresh and clean smells. . Dove works like a charm for this. However, once the sixth bar is gone, I won't buy anything from the Dove brand again.
