He didn't dare to order. Despite the instructions, I can't solve a Rubik's Cube. There is almost no hand-eye coordination, but wow I managed it. There is a pattern. Once you see it, it will be easy. I made a 30 piece ball and followed the instructions/pictures. Arrange the parts as shown in the picture. At first I didn't and got frustrated trying to adjust the middle row/layer with 10 elements. There is a 5-3-5-3-5 sequence for 5 "layers" of compound compounds. I used a piece of masking tape to trace the top/first 5 pieces. It really shouldn't have taken more than 5 or 10 minutes to put this together, but it took me a lot longer to see the pattern. I added and hung a solar lamp (GS-1200-02) ordered from Revain. in my gazebo. Opening the top and inserting the bulb was easy. This light has an auto on/off feature so you don't have to re-open the puzzle to turn it on or off. It's a nice puzzle light when finished.
